2025 Ontario Budget

I am very pleased to see that the PC government has drafted a bold response to the challenges we face due to the American administration. With this budget, we are reinforcing the growing economy that has been building under Premier Ford. We are protecting the jobs of Ontarians, protecting our vital industries, and growing our markets internationally. We are on the path to utilize our rich resources to create even more jobs and prosperity.

We are building our infrastructure, especially with our municipal partners, to make Ontario a superpower in critical minerals and energy, all while strengthening the services to Ontario residents. We are further supporting our people with more education and skilled trades training, ensuring that we mitigate any downturns caused by unpredictable tariffs and trade issues.

We are continuing to rebuild our healthcare system. As Minister Bethlenfalvy said, a healthy economy requires a healthy population.

Overall, we are investing in our most valuable resource: our people.

Locally, we will see new funding opportunities for municipal road work and water systems to promote residential growth, along with better financial environments for housing to grow.

We are continuing the repair and expansion work on Highway 401 east, and on other local highways, and building or updating new schools and long-term care facilities.

I am excited by the opportunities presented in the budget for our local region and for all of Ontario, and want to express my appreciation to the Premier, Minister of Finance, and the entire provincial cabinet for bringing a bold, balanced, and thoughtful budget to guide us through this economic crisis.
