Fantastic news for healthcare in our region! I was honored to be in Sharbot Lake yesterday to announce a major investment of over $3.6 million this year to connect approximately 8,500 more people to primary care right here in the Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington region.
This funding is a massive step forward for our rural and under-served communities, including Napanee, Loyalist Township, and Sharbot Lake. By expanding our local multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, we are helping families get the “care close to home” they deserve.
A huge congratulations and thank you to Dr. Kim Morrison and the FLA OHT, as well as Ashley Miller and the Maple Family Health Team, for putting together such an incredible plan to support our residents.
Under Premier Ford, our government’s Primary Care Action Plan is already beating its targets, having attached 330,000 Ontarians to care this past year alone. We won’t stop until every resident has access to a family doctor or primary care team!
