Amherst Island Women’s Institute

I had the privilege of attending and speaking at the Amherst Island Women’s Institute (AIWI) 125th Anniversary Celebration and the opening of the Neilson Store Museum on the Island. The AIWI, one of the oldest branches in Canada, has been serving our community since 1900, and their impact over the years is a testament to their dedication and commitment.

The Neilson Store Museum, a gem in our local history and beautifully showcases the heritage of Amherst Island and the legacy of the Neilson family. It’s great to see these efforts to preserve our history and culture for future generations.
