Belleville Homelessness Summit

Today, I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural City of Belleville Homelessness Summit at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, hosted by the City of Belleville, Hastings County, and the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness. Over 100 local stakeholders and community partners gathered to discuss pressing issues and solutions to homelessness in our community.

Ontario’s commitment to building more homes, of all sizes, faster is due to the urgent need to tackle the challenges of a growing population driving housing inflation.

As we work together to address homelessness, it’s essential to continue supporting local initiatives and fostering collaboration between all three levels of government, non-profit organizations, and private developers. By combining our efforts and resources, we can create lasting change in our community and help those in need.
