Call to strengthen Canada bail system

Led by Premier Ford, all provincial and territorial governments have now joined the call of countless law enforcement officials to write a letter asking the federal government to take immediate action to strengthen Canada’s bail system to better protect the public and Canada’s first responders. The justice system fundamentally needs to keep anyone who poses a threat to public safety off the streets – that starts with meaningful changes to the Criminal Code of Canada, an area primarily within the federal government’s jurisdiction.
