It was my great honour to recognize Carol Ann Kramp for her extraordinary contributions to our community.
Carol Ann has worn many hats throughout her life—adventure traveller, registered nurse, entrepreneur, volunteer, and political driver. Together with her late husband Daryl, Carol Ann helped establish and run several small businesses in Madoc, including Kramp’s Restaurant, Gas Bar and Sports Store, Fifties Marina, Moira Lake Lodge, and the beloved Two Loons Restaurant on Moira Lake.
Although Daryl’s name was officially on the ballot, Carol Ann’s unwavering support, positive attitude, and encouragement propelled him to serve the community for so many years. The Kramp family’s commitment to service and hard work has inspired not only their daughters but everyone around them.
Carol Ann has always been a doer, a fierce and quiet giver, and a loving, humble figure who prefers to stay in the background. However, her impact is undeniable, and she is incredibly deserving of this recognition. Thank you, Carol Ann, for everything you have done for this community and the legacy you continue to build.
