Great to spend the afternoon at the Denbigh Family Fun Day at Heritage Park.
From the bed races to snowshoeing, skating, sleigh rides, and plenty of hot chocolate, it was another strong example of community spirit in action.
The traditional tea boil was a highlight — kids working with kindling and paper to get their fires going, racing to be the first to bring their kettle to a boil.
The bed races were as competitive as ever, the spray bottles of coloured water added a creative touch, and the ponies were a big hit with families.
I was also pleased to present a certificate to Ken and Sheri Chatson in recognition of their holiday spirit and community involvement — and to sample their famous “Deer Tails,” which didn’t disappoint.
Thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, and came out to make it a great day.
