Enabling Carbon Storage

I’m proud to share that our efforts towards environmental innovation are taking a significant step forward. Ontario is taking steps to drive innovation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by enabling industries to begin testing and demonstrating projects to store CO2 underground.

The process involves capturing carbon dioxide from industrial facilities and then burying the CO2 safely and permanently in underground rock formations.
