Funding for FNTI

Exciting announcement for our region!

Delighted to join Minister Nolan Quinn as he announced that the province is investing $4.4 million into the First Nations Technical Institute (FNTI) to rebuild their Aviation Training Centre and help even more Indigenous students launch great careers in the aviation sector.

After the devastating fire four years ago, seeing this new, modern training centre taking shape—with state-of-the-art equipment and expanded capacity—is incredibly exciting. FNTI has a proud history of training skilled pilots who support communities across Ontario, especially in rural and remote areas, and this investment will help them soar even higher.

A big thank-you to Minister Quinn and the entire FNTI team. This is fantastic news for students, for our local economy, and for the future of aviation in Ontario!
