Good news for long-term care in Hastings County! The Ontario government’s $35 million Local Priorities Fund is helping our local homes purchase specialized equipment and launch innovative programs—so residents with complex needs can get the right care, right at home.
In 2024-25, three Hastings County homes received LPF support:
Hastings Centennial Manor: $31,482.85
Moira Place Long-Term Care Home: $42,067.20
Sirling Manor Nursing Home: $10,819.75
These funds will buy everything from IV and bariatric equipment to slip-proof mats and grab bars—reducing hospital visits and improving quality of life for our seniors.
I’m proud our government continues to protect long-term care by investing in the tools and training that keep our loved ones safe and comfortable. Let’s keep building a system that gives our seniors the care and dignity they deserve!
