Reflecting on an important milestone in our healthcare system!

Since January 1st, Ontario pharmacists have been empowered to prescribe medications for 13 of the most common ailments. This has made getting the care you need easier, faster, and more convenient, all without needing a doctor’s appointment.

This smart decision has also helped to free up doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to focus on more complex cases. It’s yet another example of how our province has been putting people at the centre of our healthcare system and innovating to provide better care.
