Good news for seniors in Madoc and Tweed: Ontario is investing $54,100 through the Seniors Community Grant Program to support three local initiatives.
• $25,000 to St. Mary’s of Egypt Refuge to combat isolation, fight ageism and build self-reliance
• $4,100 to Land O’Lakes Curling Club for an intensive seniors’ fitness program
• $25,000 to Tweed Legion Branch 428 for their Senior Veterans Harmony Lunch series
These grants mean more opportunities for our parents and grandparents to stay active, connected and independent in the communities they love. It was a pleasure visiting Land O’Lakes Curling Club and the Tweed Legion today—thank you for welcoming me.
