Lois Emond Receives Queen Elizabeth II Medal

Congratulations to Lois Emond on receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Medal for Good Citizenship!

Lois has spent over 13 years leading the Foodbank in the rural Land O’Lakes area, ensuring that families in need have access to fresh produce and essential supplies. Her dedication to the community goes beyond leadership – Lois and her husband make a weekly 200 km journey, using their own resources, to ensure that no one goes without.

Through her unwavering commitment, Lois has built invaluable relationships with organizations like Gleaners Food Bank and Feed Ontario to secure a steady supply of food for the community. Her work provides much-needed support in an area where transportation can be a challenge, and the Foodbank truly is a lifeline for many.

Lois’ compassion and tireless efforts make her an inspiration to us all. Thank you for your incredible service to the community, Lois!
