LTC Home Construction Underway in Napanee

Construction is officially underway at Village Green, a redeveloped long-term care home in Napanee. A heartfelt thank you to Minister Paul Calandra for joining the sod-turning today. This is a part of the Ontario government’s $6.4 billion commitment to build more than 30,000 new beds by 2028 and upgrade 28,000 long-term care beds across the province.

This modernized home will feature 128 beds, larger resident common areas, air conditioning throughout the facility, and a design centred around ‘resident home areas’ to create a more familiar and intimate living experience. The completion and welcoming of its first residents is expected by spring 2025.

The seniors in our community deserve to have good places to live out their years, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact these projects will have on our community.
