Today, we celebrated the grand opening of the new ambulance base on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. It was a privilege to join community leaders and members for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. With $900,000 in start-up costs plus $2.3 million per year from the Ministry of Health, Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services will operate out of the Mohawk Fire Hall, providing enhanced emergency response times and greater accessibility.
