Attended a town hall at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital today. The new state-of-the-art 128-bed long-term care campus, attached to LACGH, is almost ready to open—and it’s a beautiful space. We were in the new courtyard where residents will be able to enjoy fresh air and time with family. The home includes six negative-pressure beds to support infection control, enhancing safety and preparedness. Residents will have convenient access to nearby health services for better care and outcomes.
Grateful to be joined by MPP John Jordan. Thank you to the hospital board and staff with special recognition to Past Chair Deb Lowry for years of work to bring this project to the finish line. Sincere appreciation for Mike Bell, A.K. Sharma, and Dr. Pierre Robichaud and new chair Laurie French.
