Ontario signs new immigration deal with federal government
November 28, 2022
On Thursday, Ontario’s labour minister signed a new immigration deal with the federal government that will allow Ontario to address the labour shortage with immigration. The agreement includes an increase to the provincial nominee program allotment and removes the Canadian work experience requirement for certain professions that can bar immigrants from practising their craft in Canada, allowing them to work in purpose-driven careers instead. This allows us to bring n skilled trades people quickly as we work towards training our students.
