Today in Tyendinaga Township, I was pleased to announce Ontario’s new Pothole Prevention and Repair Program — a $10 million investment to help small and rural municipalities repair and prevent potholes before they cause costly damage or safety concerns.
This new program will provide eligible municipalities (with populations under 10,000) with up to $38,000 to support critical road maintenance and improve driving conditions across the province.
Smaller municipalities often face unique challenges when it comes to infrastructure. This investment gives them the tools they need to protect and extend the life of their roads — keeping drivers safe and supporting local economies.
Applications are now open until December 12, 2025.
