This discovery, the result of an eight-month investigation, is a tragic first for Ontario. Our government has invested $37.2 million to establish an Indigenous-led process that will inform and guide this difficult undertaking and support communities at every stage, including identification, protection, and commemoration of Indian Residential School burial sites. Heartbreaking.
