It was a true honour to attend the Ribbon-cutting of the Kenhtè:ke Language and Cultural Centre in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Preserving and revitalizing the Kanyen’kéha language and cultural traditions is vital work, and this beautiful new facility will serve as a foundational hub for learning, community connection, and cultural pride for generations to come.
A massive congratulations to the dedicated team, elders, language speakers, and partners who poured years of hard work, vision, and passion into making this centre a reality, including Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na and their partners.
Thank you for welcoming me to share in this historic and deeply meaningful milestone for the community!
