Wilton Cheese Factory

Happy to celebrate Local Food Week at the Wilton Cheese Factory. I had the pleasure of meeting with Dave Larkin, who has spent the last 40 years working at this incredible factory. Dave shared that this privately owned small cheese factory has been using local milk from the rural areas around Lennox and Addington since 1867.

Today, they specialize in some of the finest aged cheddar around, selling it to many of the region’s grocery stores, as well as in their own shop. On top of that, they offer local honey produced just five minutes away, as well as a variety of delicious baked goods, candy, and butter tarts.

My personal favorite? The cheese curds! These have been my go-to for over 50 years – they’re that good!
